One Happy Family is a non-profit organization<\/span>, <\/span>dedicated to providing<\/span> a safe space of interaction for asylum seekers, volunteers, and people from different nations. Therefore<\/span>, <\/span>the Community Center was built on the Greece Island Lesvos. Due to its geographical proximity to Turkey, Lesvos represents a stopover to most people fleeing from war and crises. As a result of bureaucratic hurdles, asylum seekers are stuck on the island for several months. To fill the gap caused by insufficient humanitarian aid and missing state support, O<\/span>ne Happy Family <\/span>– together with their partner organizations and <\/span>on the<\/span> initiative and request of refugees – provide many different projects, such as schools, sports programs, or psychological support. The range of projects and programs, therefore,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>varies depending on <\/span>the respective <\/span>capacity and needs. With the community center, O<\/span>ne Happy Family<\/span> want<\/span>s<\/span> to involve people living in the camps in brainstorming and decision-making process<\/span>es<\/span> in order to strengthen their independence, self-drive, and sense of responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
