SOS Balkanroute is a humanitarian initiative for a decent life for refugees in Southeastern Europe.<\/span><\/div>\n
Since they were in the Bosnian horror camp Vu\u010djak for the first time in September 2019, the suffering of the people on the Balkan route has not let them forget about it. The fight against the normality of the ugly images, as well as the empathy and willingness to help of many <\/span>other people in <\/span>Austria and the Balkans, were the foundation of their initiative from the beginning<\/span> on<\/span>. In the meantime, they have <\/span>started donation collections as well as organized <\/span>transports with donations in kind, built up their <\/span>volunteer <\/span>networks to all hotspots of the crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina, built up and supported <\/span>various<\/span> humanitarian projects a<\/span>s well as a<\/span>ctions on the ground. At the same time, th<\/span>rough their commitment in Austria and beyond th<\/span>ey have repeatedly raised public and political awareness<\/span>.<\/span> The<\/span>ir current and future<\/span> goal is:<\/span> “No<\/span> one should be able to say they didn’t know what was going on 224 kilometers from Vienna.”\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
