Thanks to your support, we have already received quite some donations with which we can implement projects and support organizations for, by and with refugees. On the escape routes to Europe or where human rights violations occur, such as in Afghanistan or Ukraine: we help where people would otherwise would be left behind.
The #LeaveNoOneBehind campaign is financed exclusively by donations and is a project of the association “Civilfleet-Support e.V.”. Together with partner organizations, we carry out fundraising campaigns and projects, or redistribute donations to other important projects, for example together with the foundation fund Civilian Sea Rescue. Here, projects and organizations can apply for money to support people on the run. A committee of five voluntary representatives from various organizations decides on the allocation of funds. This has various advantages: A high level of expertise, different perspectives due to different focal points of work, as well as legal certainty due to the administrative work of GLS-Treuhand.
At the moment, we are in the process of setting up an Info Hub together with Ukrainians in order to be able to meaningfully identify the needs in Ukraine and on the escape routes from there, so that donations can be used as effectively as possible. We have already initiated some initial projects with partner organizations we already know.
